Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 September 2026
1. The service
Papama is operated by Papama Care Pvt. Ltd. It connects families with background-verified Care Companions for non-medical, in-home elder care in Karaikudi, Trichy, Madurai and Chennai.
Papama owns the vetting, matching and quality-oversight process. When you book, you are engaging Papama for the arrangement and oversight of care — not only the individual Care Companion who attends a visit.
Papama provides non-medical care only. It is not a medical, nursing, diagnostic or emergency service. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
2. Your account
You need an account to request care and manage your family’s details. Keep your password confidential and use two-factor authentication where available.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, and for having permission to share the details of any parent, elder or other person you add to your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. Booking and matching
Submitting a request is not a guarantee of an immediate match. Papama Operations reviews each request and assigns a suitable, verified Care Companion based on the service, the location’s coverage and availability.
Papama Elder Care is available only in specific PIN codes within the four cities. If your address is outside current coverage, you can join the waitlist.
You can track the status of a submitted request at any time from the Request Care status page.
4. Pricing and billing
Prices are set per city and shown to you before you confirm. The price is calculated by Papama for the city your service address’s PIN code resolves to; you cannot select a different city’s pricing.
Plans are billed month-to-month with no lock-in; you may change or cancel at any time, effective from the next billing cycle.
A free trial may be offered on paid plans. During Early Access, payment is collected manually by Papama Operations rather than through this website.
5. Conduct and safety
Care Companions are bound by the rules published on the Safety page — for example, never requesting PINs, OTPs or passwords, never borrowing or lending money, and never bringing unauthorised visitors. Any violation is grounds for immediate suspension.
Families are asked to provide a safe environment for visits and to treat Care Companions with respect. Report any safety concern immediately through Papama Support; safety reports are prioritised.
6. Care Essentials orders
Care Essentials products are offered subject to availability. Prices, delivery fees and any taxes are shown before you place an order.
Returns and cancellations are handled case by case through Papama Support.
7. Limitation of liability
Papama takes reasonable steps to verify Care Companions and to monitor visit quality, but cannot guarantee a particular outcome for every visit.
To the extent permitted by law, Papama is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Report any incident immediately so Operations can investigate and respond.
8. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We will update this page as the product evolves, and we will change the “Last updated” date at the top. For a significant change we will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders in the app.
Continuing to use Papama after a change means you accept the updated terms.
